Women are turning a £40 drawer from IKEA into the dream dressing table – and it fits the smallest bedrooms

CREATING the perfect dressing table can be both pricey and hard to achieve if your bedroom is tight on space.

But savvy women have been creating their dream make-up stations using a £41 set of drawers from IKEA.

They have shared snaps on Instagram showing how have mounted the 'EKBY ALEX', from the popular Swedish homeware store, onto their walls.

Once attached at either standing or seated height - depending on how you like to get ready in the morning - DIY fans are then transforming the versatile unit into a dressing table with the help of vanity mirrors, fluffy stools and plants.

The product description on the IKEA website reads: "EKBY ALEX allows you to keep your favourite items visible on the open shelf, and hide away things you need close at hand in the drawers.

"Drawer stops prevent the drawers from being pulled out too far.

"The thick back edge of the bracket creates a small space between the shelf and the wall where you can run cords through."

At 119 cm wide and 31 cm deep, the drawers are the perfect size to store all your products in an organised manner.

You can also choose from white with birch wood brackets, or white with black brackets.

Many have chosen to make the shelves homely with flowers, special lighting and by placing pretty perfume bottles and photo frames on top.
