Thrifty brides are cutting costs by using £2 wedding bouquets from Home Bargains – and guests can’t tell the difference

WEDDING flowers can cost a fortune, with experts recommending couples set aside around 10 per cent of their entire wedding budget on bouquets, buttonholes and decorative blooms.

But one mum has revealed how her daughter managed to save hundreds, by snapping up artificial bouquets for just a few quid at Home Bargains.

Taking to the , she wrote: "Been meaning to post this for a while. My baby girl (eldest daughter, 23!) got married in September.

"Her and her now hubby, wanted to pay for it all themselves (I bought her jewellery, paid for the photographer and a couple small things) and my uncle paid for the car.

"Her bouquets are from Home Bargains! Couple £’s each.

"We just wrapped ribbon round them and they look lovely!

"My sister-in-law is a florist and was nicely shocked when she found out where they were from!"

The gorgeous bouquets are blush pink in colour and also feature green foliage.

And other users couldn't believe the flowers were from the bargain store, with several calling them "stunning".

One wrote: "So stunning and so nice to hear that you all thought about the cost, it really does get way out of hand."

While another said: "She looks beautiful and a wedding can be done on a budget, that's how I did mine.

"Instead of presents my close family bought of paid for things for the wedding and everything else I sourced for cheap and made myself."

Another praised the bride for not focusing on "material things".

"Good on her. After all, a wedding is about the two people in the middle of it.

"Material things are nice but not a necessity."
