She had selected a white peony and eucalyptus from the Swedish fake flower range to craft the button holes, and already owned flower tape, making her craft project especially cheap.

Captioning her post she wrote: “So I'm getting married on 29th February 2020, and I was looking for button holes.

“Also wanted to keep the costs down with Christmas around the corner, I decided to make my own.

“Flower tape I already had and flowers from Ikea at £1 each so each button hole has cost me £2 to make.”

“And they can be kept forever...lovely” agreed another.

The bride later thanked everyone for their kind comments, adding: “Picked up the idea because on a budget and can’t justify paying someone else to do something as simple as this.
