Man buys his girlfriend’s best mate flowers after she was cheated on and the internet ruins his ‘chivalrous’ gesture
A MAN’S kind gesture of sending his girlfriend’s best friend flowers after she got dumped backfired after people claimed they would soon be dating.
Twitter user, Abi Gibson, revealed her boyfriend sent a bunch of purple flowers to her pal, Steph, after she broke up with her ex.
Praising her other half, Max Kupfer, Abi posted a snap of the bouquet .
She said: “My best friend was cheated on by her boyfriend, and MY boyfriend bought her flowers just to show her that she deserves better than a cheater."
Abi, from Indiana, USA, added: “He knows if he’s dating me, he’s dating my friends
Her post has since gone viral, racking up more than 22,000 likes.
But rather than praise Max’s efforts, people claimed it was a sign he would soon be dating Steph.
Commenting on the post, one person said: “Probably doing more than just dating.”
Someone else tweeted: “I’ll buy you flowers next cause you’re gonna get cheated on.”
A third asked: “So who's the real girlfriend?”
This person wrote: “Nahhh my man better not buy my friends
flowers cause they are heart broken.
“If he wants to be giving people flowers than he can become a florist.”
Someone else added: “He setting up his plan b.”
But defending Max, one person Tweeted: “Don't ever regret tweeting about ur boyfriend's chilvary.”
