Valentine’s Day trees are the weird new trend taking over Instagram – and they’re sickly sweet
CHRISTMAS has only just ended - but fear not festive fans because you can now get your naff decorations fix on Valentine's Day this year.
That's right, Valentine's Day TREES are the latest trend to take Instagram by storm - and we're warning you now, they're sickly sweet to look at.
Rather than wrapping their trees in tinsel, these Valentine's designs are covered in kisses, love hearts and ribbons for a suitably romantic touch.
Naturally, the styles that have racked up the most "likes" follow a red-and-pink colour scheme which, we'll admit, does look pretty sweet on a fake white tree.
Mum-of-five Jennifer - who runs the Instagram account Turtle Creek Lane - explained how she keeps her Christmas tree up but reworks the decorations.
She explained: "I simply removed the Christmas ball–ornaments and replaced them with conversation hearts I picked up at The 99 Store and More! I then replaced the Christmas elves with Valentine fairies."
What's more, another Instagram user proudly showed off her extravagant pink-and-red tree which was covered in heart-shaped cushions and "love bugs".
And taking it even one step further, one user turned an entire corner of her living room into a "Valentine room".
Naturally, it wouldn't be a decorative tree without some presents at the bottom.
While adding the finishing touches to her design, one devoted mum added a selection of cuddly toys and cushions around the base - not to mention the pink fluffy rug thrown in for good measure too.
In more fashion news, Primark has dropped a brand new Billie Eilish range after she was announced as the new James Bond singer.
And Primark sent Stranger Things fans into a frenzy with their £8 Scoops Ahoy t-shirts.
Plus this wedding guest's Kim Kardashian-inspired bandage dress was likened to a "plaster-covered cockroach".
