How much weight has Katie McGlynn lost?

Katie has shed a whopping one stone after feeling "dowdy and frumpy" during her last weeks of filming Coronation Street in 2019.

The actress, who played cancer stricken mum Sinead Tinker, confessed she felt "very down" about her appearance.

She said her hectic schedule and late working hours meant she was often eating unhealthily and not able to go to the gym.

How did Katie McGlynn lose the weight?

After leaving Corrie, Katie has found she has had more time for a healthy lifestyle.

To tone up and shed the pounds she did a 12-week Ultimate Performance transformation plan.

This includes superset weight workouts targeting compound exercises and bigger muscle groups.

However the plan also includes simple things like upping her daily step count.

Her diet includes nutrient and protein high meals and green, fibre rich veggies.

What has Katie McGlynn said about her weight loss?

Katie told : “I am so happy with my overall physical and mental wellbeing after this transformation.

"I’ve lost a dress size, I’ve gained more muscle, I’m getting stronger in the gym. I feel like myself again, finally. I feel like back-to-normal Katie.

“Before the transformation, I don’t want to say I was depressed, but I did feel very down about my weight, mentally and physically I was tired.

"I didn’t feel like myself whatsoever. I felt sluggish. I felt really dowdy and frumpy, whereas now I just feel more myself again. I’ve got more energy, I’ve got a lot more confidence in general."
