Kate Middleton’s favourite salon reveals how you can get her signature bouncy blow dry at home
KATE, Princess of Wales showcased a brand new hairstyle this autumn - lighter in colour and with a shorter curtain-style fringe, but with the same curly length.
The royal has been incredibly busy, undertaking several engagements every week, and no matter the occasion or location, her hair looks picture-perfect.
The salon is responsible for many of Kate’s looks, and a stylist will go to her royal residence so she can have privacy.

Elettra said: “The Chelsea Blow Dry is all about bounce and lashings of gloss, with lots of volume and movement through the ends.
“Products (if you have them at home), a decent hairdryer with a nozzle and round bristle brush are essential to making it look fabulous.”
WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR KATE'S BLOWDRY
- Volumising Mousse / Spritz (optional – will help create volume and hold, but not the end of the world if you don’t have it at home!)
- Round bristle brush (or paddle brush if you don’t have a round one)
- Hairdryer with nozzle
- Medium-size hair tong
- Hair serum or oil (again this is optional)
To achieve the look, the hair professional said you need to apply a golf-ball size amount of volumising mousse to damp hair and brush through for even distribution.
Then you need to start rough drying hair in a controlled way, lifting and heating roots with your fingers.
It’s important that you don’t shake the hairdryer about.
Next, use a medium-size round bristle brush to blow dry the hair smooth.
She advised using a medium-sized tong, take sections of hair from just under the ear and wrap around the barrel, away from your face.
You need to then hold in place for a few seconds and release, before setting the hair in place with the cool shot on your hairdryer.
Following this, then run a lightweight serum through the mid-lengths and ends for extra shine.
