Mum makes stunning feature wall in her bathroom using masking tape trick and old paint
IF there's one thing we've learnt in lockdown - it's that having nothing else to do makes us want to redecorate our homes from top to bottom.
Well rather than using our one walk of the day to track down DIY supplies, one savvy mum has revealed how you can revamp your walls using things you already own.
Posting on the Facebook group , the mum explained how she created this chic geometric wall art using a stencil she made out of cardboard.
After she'd cut out the hexagon, she then placed it at different points on the wall and created a border using masking tape.
Putting some leftover paint samples to good use, the mum filled in the blank shapes to make a yellow-to-grey ombre effect.
Wanting to show off the finished results, the proud mum then posted before-and-after images on the group and wrote: "Tried something a bit different with the masking tape idea!"
Her post has racked up over 26,000 "likes" and comments from other members of the group.
One replied: "I love it!"
Another gushed: "Absolutely amazing, looks beautiful!"
In awe of the pattern, a third wrote: "How on earth did you keep them so straight!!"
For more amazing home transformations, this DIY fan transformed her tired patio tiles using £7 stencil and it looks amazing.
And this woman made a stunning window seat for just £30 using leftover wood and cot mattress.
Plus Stacey Solomon created an amazing DIY beauty station using old crate to ‘keep her mind busy’ in lockdown.
