Royal fans are shocked at how similar Princess Charlotte looks to Prince William in old throwback photo
PRINCESS Charlotte turned five this week, and adorable photos of the young royal were released in honour of the occasion.
After the pictures were shared online, royal fans are convinced that Charlotte looks identical to her dad Prince William when he was a young boy.
Side-by-side shots show the photo of Charlotte next to a shot of William carrying a race driving helmet - and people said the similarities are evident.
Fans were quick to comment on the likeness, with one saying: "She has William's eyes, in my opinion. And I love her hair. I used to do my daughter's hair in the same style.
Another added: "Princess Charlotte is so beautiful and precious she looks like her dad William and grandmother Diana.”
In the past, Princess Charlotte has also been compared to her great-grandma, the Queen, with people saying they also look extremely similar.
In honour of their daughter’s birthday, Kate Middleton and Prince William released a sweet portrait of their daughter in a cute gingham dress yesterday.
They thanked fans for their kind messages to Princess Charlotte, and said: “Thank you for all your lovely messages on Princess Charlotte’s fifth birthday!
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a new photograph of Princess Charlotte, taken by The Duchess this April.”
The Royal Family’s main Instagram also paid tribute to the youngster, writing: “Happy Birthday to Princess Charlotte who is celebrating her 5th birthday today!”
They also shared a series of photos of Charlotte, including two that featured the Queen.
This followed new photos being released showing Charlotte delivering home-made pasta to people isolating at home from coronavirus.
Charlotte joined her family in a delivery van doing door-to-door rounds, getting drenched in a downpour.
Her parents William, 37, and Kate, 38, cooked the food with help from the kids at their home in Anmer Hall, Norfolk.
They then handed out more than a dozen precious bags to local OAPs and vulnerable people forced to stay indoors.
It is understood Kate and Wills were also joined by George, six, and two-year-old Louis on rounds earlier this week.
Staff at nearby Sandringham have also been preparing and delivering meals for pensioners and vulnerable people since the lockdown was imposed.
The family spent two-and-a-half hours doing deliveries, with photos showing Charlotte sorting out the bags.
Dressed in a gingham smock dress, she also walked up to doors to hand over the grub.
Wills and Kate have been staying at their home in Norfolk since the social isolation rules came into force in March.
They were seen at their front door last week clapping the NHS.
