From Chrissy Teigen to Victoria Beckham’s ‘bazooka’ regret – the stars who’ve had their boob implants removed
IT'S official, big boobs are out - with celebs ditching the 90s "bazooka" trend for a more natural look and getting their implants removed.
In the age of 'lunch-time nose jobs' and fillers, many are turning away from more invasive surgery - with noting a huge 98 per cent increase in implant removals in 2018.
Reasons include the PIP implant scandal, changing body shape or simply women feeling their boobs are "no longer appropriate" as they age.
Last night, Chrissy Teigen announced she was getting her implants removed, admitting she was "just over it".
The US TV personality, 34, said: "I’d like to be able to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure comfort."
And she's far from alone, with many stars getting their boob jobs reversed in recent years, either to rock their natural shape or in favour of smaller implants.
Amy Childs
Amy Childs first went under the knife at 18 but was forced to have her EE implants removed last May, in a gruelling eight-hour operation.
The Towie star, 29, is now proudly flaunting her natural C-cups for the first time, after three enlargement procedures which began before she found fame.
The mum-of-two, from Essex, was forced to go au natural after one of her implants flipped over and burst, but Amy now wishes she'd never got them done.
She told The Sun: "I didn't like my big boobs anyway and deeply regret having them.
"I looked so big, everyone used to just stare at my boobs and they were so wonky too, they were a mess."
Amy also admitted her lips will "never be normal again" after getting filler 20 times.
Victoria Beckham
Victoria Beckham denied her boob job for years, until she'd already got the implants out.
The Spice Girl is thought to have gone under the knife after the birth of her first son Brooklyn in 1999, boosting her bust from a 34A to a 34DD.
At the time, Posh, now 46, denied the rumours, insisting she was "completely natural, except for my fingernails" and claiming her enhanced cleavage was down to push-up bras.
But in 2011, the mum-of-four changed her tune, telling Allure: "I don't have them anymore," and Vogue: "No torpedo bazookas, either. Gone".
Charlotte Crosby
Charlotte Crosby returned to her natural B-cup this time last year, admitting her boobs became "big balloons" which left her in excruciating pain when they went hard.
The Geordie Shore star got implants in 2017, when she had surgery to correct her 'uniboob', but soon encountered issues with her left breast.
“I went to the doctor and they said it was the beginning of something which means your body is rejecting the implant,” Charlotte, 30, told The Sun.
“He felt around the area and said there was a lot of inflammation in there. The breast itself was feeling really hot."
Olivia Attwood
Olivia Attwood said she was delighted with her "banging t*ts" after having her implants removed and replaced with a smaller pair in May last year.
The Love Island star, 29, went down a cup-size - admitting her previous implants gave her backache, were too big for her slim frame and made clothes shopping a "nightmare".
"I had a downsize – old ones out, new ones in, because I’d had those implants since I was 19," she told magazine.
"I can’t wait to be able to wear more clothes now without my boobs falling out, putting people off their dinner.”
Most implants only have a 10 to 15-year shelf life, according to experts.
Heidi Montag
Heidi Montag famously left her mum horrified by having 10 plastic surgeries in one day in 2009, including an F-cup boob job.
The former Celebrity Big Brother contestant, who appeared on the show alongside husband Spencer Pratt, unveiled the transformation on the set of The Hills.
But Heidi, now 33, soon realised her supersized boobs were damaging her breast tissue, so had them removed in 2013.
: "They were so heavy they were falling through the skin.
"It was just too heavy for my body and I was in pain and uncomfortable all the time. I thought, 'What do I need this big of breasts for?'"
Holly Hagan
Holly Hagan thought she'd love her FF-cup boobs, but soon realised they made it almost impossible to exercise and attracted unwanted attention.
The Geordie Shore lass, 27, had a breast reduction in October 2018, taking her down to a DD, telling fans she "doesn't want that kind of attention anymore".
Holly had her first boob job aged 17 and a second at 24.
Boob implant removal - an expert's opinion
Dr Riccardo Frati, of Frati Cosmetic Surgery, told Fabulous:
Surgery to remove breast implants has become more popular due to several reasons, ALCL (breast implant related cancer), patients changing their mind.
People may change the way they feel about breast implants and cosmetic surgery and make a drastic decision to get them out.
However, in many cases, a full return to the way the breast looked before surgery is not achievable. A breast uplift maybe necessary to get rid of the excess skin, reshape the breast and make it tighter.
Patients must have a proper consultation with a specialist plastic surgeon before of making any decision of implants removal.
Although implants need to be checked and replaced every 15 years, further surgery involving removal of implants and potentially an uplift requires adequate reflection for the dramatic effects on the body and breast shape, and for the risks associated.

Michelle Visage
Michelle Visage had her D-cup implants removed in February 2019 after being diagnosed with Hashimoto's Disease - an autoimmune disorder which attacks the thyroid gland.
The RuPaul's Drag Race judge, who appeared on CBB and last year's Strictly Come Dancing, : “I feel strong and healthy and for the first time.
"I feel like I am doing something to regain and reclaim my life and health."
Michelle, 51, whose symptoms included brain fog, fatigue, hair loss and sudden weight gain, suspected her implants were connection to the disorder - although that was never confirmed by doctors.
