Family revamp their entire garden for FREE by using pallets to transform their fence, shed AND pot plants
PALLETS have proven to be super versatile when it comes to creating things for around the home and garden.
And while many limit the use of pallets to a project here and there, one family has used them to revamp their entire backyard - without spending a single penny.
At first, Shelley Sargeant and her husband Ashley decided to use the timber from pallets to make a stunning garden fence, but super impressed with the results, they took it up a notch.
Sharing snaps of their newly renovated garden online, the mum revealed that they decided to revamp their garden shed so that it matched the fence - and you wouldn't even know it was made from pallets.
They didn't stop there either as they also created a stunning window box for the shed, a strawberry planter and herb ladder too - all from free pallets.
What's more, the crafty mum created super cute signs for each element of the garden admitting it was her first attempt at word burning.
Along with the photos she shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, she wrote: "After cladding our fence in pallet wood, we decided to revamp and clad our garden shed to tie in.
"We also made a window box , strawberry planter and a herb ladder. I also made the signs myself and was my first attempt at word burning.
"All done with pallet wood. Total cost free. Really pleased with the results."
Breaking down the project, Shelley told Fabulous: "The fence took roughly about a week. It did take a bit longer as it was a bit hit and miss as it was when we could source pallets so it was done in stages.
"The shed and planters were a weekend project. And the wood burnt signs only took a few hours.
It's not surprising that her post attracted a huge amount of praise, as thousands of members gushed over the "gorgeous" garden she'd created.
"Absolutely gorgeous garden, well done, I would love to sit out there, enjoy," one person wrote.
And another said: "You have such a gorgeous garden. You have got such talent there."
Meanwhile, a third wrote: "That looks fab, Jeez I’d pay you to come and sort my sheds out.
Many complimented the woman on her creative ideas and handiwork, while others couldn't get over the look of the garden itself.
It certainly is a beautiful space to relax in during the warmer months, because aside from the stunning shed (who knew a shed could look so good), there's also a BBQ area, a hot tub and even a play area for the kids.
It's perfect if you ask us.
