Mum turns ‘prison yard’ back garden into a bright and welcoming space for a few quid thanks to B&M buys
A MUM managed to turn her ‘prison yard’ of a back garden into a bright and colourful space on a tight budget using some B&M bargains.
The mum said she was sick of staring at the ‘grey jungle’ outside the kitchen window, so she set about transforming it into something welcoming to look at.
She simply laid down astro turf to cover the drab concrete, put up a trellis with hanging pots from Poundstretcher and added ornaments from B&M.
She shared her transformation to Facebook group , where it’s been liked hundreds of times.
She said: “I know I’m no gardening expert as many of you on here are, and I know my turf isn’t down properly yet but not doing that till the garden pets are gone so anybody with OCD look away now.
“But I was so fed up of having a prison yard outside the kitchen so I’ve transformed it from that grey jungle to this.
“Still a few bits too do but it’s now like a mini 3rd garden and a much nicer view looking down from the boys bedroom window.”
The mum spruced up the sandpit and added flowers everywhere, turning the space into a colorful oasis.
She added: “The little hanging pots are from poundstretcher at £1 each, the animals was all mainly from b n m, from £5 too £15, windmills and other decorations was bits I already had.
“I’m glad I've inspired people with a little space.”
Commenting on her makeover online, one person said: “I love it! You’ve turned a dull area into a fun and vibrant one. Well done!”
Another wrote: “What a cheery happy space!”
A third said: “Looks great really transformed a small space well done.”
Someone else wrote: “So beautiful!!! Love all the accessories. Little pots hanging and everything else!! Love it.”
