Kate Middleton is ‘team player rather than a leader’ in the Royal Family & has hugely grown in confidence, experts claim
IT'S been almost ten years since Kate Middleton married into the Royal Family - and in that time, the Duchess of Cambridge has forged her own role within the institution.
According to royal author Victoria Murphy, the mum-of-three has enormously grown in confidence since 2011 - but is ultimately a "team player" within the Royal Family.
Speaking to , the expert claimed: "At the beginning she was very keen to learn the ropes and look to others for guidance over what she should be doing and you could sense that.
"I think she still remains more of a team player than a leader though and perhaps more of a listener than a talker, but I think these qualities are well-suited to her current and future roles.”
However, the expert did acknowledge that Kate is a "driving force" when it comes to her work with William - which has involved supporting an NHS mental health campaign in lockdown.
Describing how Kate has "relaxed" into her role, royal author Angela Levin added: "She is a perfectionist who wants to get things right and has been nervous that she might not.
"I also think that being a mother has made a huge difference to how she faces life as a royal."
Meanwhile, Victoria compared the Duchess to The Queen in how they're both not "extroverts" who are "quietly self-assured" and share a love of the outdoors.
Last week, royal author Penny Juror drew comparisons between Kate Middleton and Prince Philip's roles in the Royal Family.
Explaining how Kate works together with Prince William, Penny said: "She's never trying to outshine him in any way.
"I think that Kate is a bit like Prince Philip supporting the Queen. She doesn't outshine William but still has a lot to say herself."
