PRINCE Harry whisked Meghan Markle off to a luxurious lodge in Botswana for their third date, a new book claims.
Prince Harry booked a stay at the bush camp Meno a Kwena in August 2017, buying two plane tickets from London to Johannesburg, before boarding a private two-hour flight to Maun International Airport.

The couple had only been on two dates at London’s Soho House's Dean Street Townhouse but were smitten with one another, excerpts from Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s book, , claim.
The book says: "Despite the palpable attraction between them, there was no goodbye kiss, no expectation, just a hint that something was there and they hoped to see each other again soon.
"'Almost immediately they were almost obsessed with each other,' a friend said. 'It was as if Harry was in a trance.'"
Meghan was said to be equally enthralled, supposedly telling one of her friends: “Do I sound crazy when I say this could have legs?"
Prince Harry is said to have surprised Meghan with the African trip, with the former actress admitting she'd never been on safari before.
The pair relaxed at the £1,500-a-night resort, in an area Prince Harry has frequented for more than a decade.
The Meno A Kwena resort is dubbed the ‘ultimate tent and camping experience in Botswana’, and sits on a bend in the Boteti River.
Guests stay in tents decorated with vintage maps and trunks, with an en-suite and a seating area out front to watch the incredible views and wildlife.
There’s even daybeds and sun loungers decked out in the camp’s signature vintage style, along with an al-fresco dining area.
Later describing their magical trip, Prince Harry said they stayed in a tent in the “middle of nowhere.”
He added: “We camped out with each other under the stars, sharing a tent and all that stuff. It was fantastic.”
Meghan was enthralled with her trip to Africa, which is said to have brought her and Prince Harry even closer.
The book says: “A friend said: 'She came back smiling and just completely spellbound.'
"Her phone was full of photos - the nature they had seen, candid snaps of herself, and selfies with Harry.
"According to the friend, if Meghan didn't have to return to Canada for work and Harry to his life in London, 'they would have happily spent the entire summer there together'.
"Meghan said that she and Harry talked so much, about things she rarely shared with anyone.
"'I've never felt that safe,' Meghan told her friend, 'that close to someone in such a short amount of time.'"
The couple’s engagement was announced in November 2016, and the pair married in May 2018, before welcoming baby Archie the following May.
The couple announced they were stepping down as senior royals in February this year, and relocated to LA.
Finding Freedom is due to be published in August and is being serialised in The Times and The Sunday Times.
