Move over Holly Willoughby, Emily Atack is making Celebrity Juice saucier, nailed the jungle & is a hit with blokes too
EMILY Atack is set to make Celebrity Juice even saucier when it returns to our screens tomorrow, after replacing Holly Willoughby as a team captain.
The 30-year-old is stepping into the presenter’s shoes, alongside Love Island’s Laura Whitmore, for a new series which is set to be ‘even boozier’, according to Keith Lemon.
Emily appears to have followed in Holly's footsteps throughout her career, with the pair both appearing on the same TV shows, including Dancing on Ice and I'm A Celebrity.
The former actress has now moved into presenting with her I'm A Celeb Extra gig, and she's now taking over Holly's spot on the outlandish panel show.
Celebrity Juice
Emily, who’s best known for playing Charlotte Hinchcliffe on E4’s The Inbetweeners, is firm friends with Keith - just like Holly - who sang her praises ahead of the show’s launch.
He said is ‘ten times’ wilder than Holly, 39, as he revealed The I’m a Celeb finalist has a ‘filthy sense of humour’.
Keith, 45, whose real name is Leigh Francis, said: “When does it ever not get boozy?
“I’ll say ‘Emily are you having a drink tonight?’ And she’ll say ‘Yeah always’.”
It seems Keith is enjoying the new line-up, gushing about how well he was getting on with Emily and Laura already, who replaced Fearne Cotton.
He added: "We’ve known each other for years. The three of us didn’t realise how far back we go, we’ve worked together a lot before.
“I like the idea that we can become a solid three and do more things in the future.
"We’ve created a little tight gang already, it’s nice. We filmed something on location, which was kind of like our bonding.”
Emily is enjoying her new role as a team captain, and used the opportunity to poke fun at her predecessor.
Speaking to magazine, Emily said: "With that Holly sketch, I thought, 'What is the one thing we cannot imagine Holly doing, because she's so perfect and beautiful?'
"So I thought, 'Let's just make her fart at the end of it!'"
New show
Emily’s star is continuing to soar, as alongside her Celebrity Juice gig she’s also landed her own show in ITV2, set for release this autumn.
Apty called The Emily Atack Show, the comedy sketch programme promises to be “outrageous”.
Gushing about the gig on , Emily wrote: “I have written the most ridiculously outrageous sketch show for you all!!
“This is my lifelong dream and all I’ve ever wanted. I wish I could tell 16 year old crying in the toilets, boy mad, fake tan and eye lashes for school Emily this would come. I won’t let you down.”
Lockdown goals
As well as her show, Emily continued to keep fans updated with her hard work over lockdown - as she showed off her incredible one stone weightloss.
The star shared candid snaps from her ‘hideous’ workouts, and opened up about her loneliness after splitting up with former partner, film producer Rob Jowers, last year.
She told BBC Radio 5 Live: “I think at times like this you’ve got to appreciate everything you have, but you know, I’d give anything to have a row with a husband right now.
“With everything that's happened, it puts you in a different headspace with it all.
“One second I’m flying the flag for single women and everything’s great … and the next minute all this is happening and I want anything but to be on my own.”
After lockdown restrictions eased, Emily also shared the moment she was finally reunited with her mum, Kate Robbins, after lockdown.
I'm A Celeb
It’s this relatable honesty which saw the British public fall in love with her during her stint on I’m a Celebrity in 2018, where she finished in second place.
That was the same year Holly stood in for Ant McPartlin and co-hosted the show alongside Declan Donnelly.
It’s not the first time the pair's paths have crossed on a TV show, with Emily taking part in Dancing on Ice in 2010, which Holly also presented.
But while Emily won over the public with her fun-loving personality in the jungle, she went on to land a hosting role on I'm A Celeb's Extra Camp, Holly saw her outfits criticised as her fans called for her 'stylist to be sacked’ over her outfits.
Fashion lines
Holly is usually associated with an impeccable sense of style, with the This Morning co-host regularly sharing snaps of her outfits, which are a mix of designer pieces and high street essentials - which appeal to a wide range of people.
And the mum-of-three also has her own fashion line with M&S, with chic pieces regularly selling out.
Emily also has her own clothes line, after she signed a whopping £500,000 deal to be the face of In The Style thanks to her body-positive attitude in the jungle.
In The Style vowed to "celebrate women’s natural beauty" by banishing airbrushing, and Emily was seen as a great fit for the company.
Both women embrace their curves, with Emily known as ‘Charlotte Big Jugs’ on The Inbetweneers, while Holly was given the nickname Holly Willoughboobie.
Their similarities don’t end there, with the presenters rocking luscious blonde locks, channelling a ‘girl next door vibe’.
But they both know how to turn it out for the red carpet, morphing into sirens oozing sex appeal with glam make-up and killer heels.
