But DIY fanatics have found a penny-pinching solution and are raving about Poundland's stick-on floor tiles which transform rooms in seconds.

While the amazing finish is enough to get you excited, the fact they're just £1 for a pack of three will have you singing with glee.

Impressed with the end result, many people have taken to Facebook to share the little-known DIY hack which has seen them transform bathrooms, kitchens and even living rooms for a fraction of the cost.

One woman desperate for new flooring in her bathroom decided on a timber-effect finish which gave the illusion of expensive floorboards.

The space is now super modern and oozes luxury, all thanks to some budget stick-on tiles.

Alongside snaps she shared of the the incredible transformation in the facebook group, she revealed: "Peel and stick floor tiles poundland £1 for a pack of 3."

But it appears she wasn't the only one as one person confessed: "I’ve got these exact ones from Poundland in my hallway and dining room."

Meanwhile, a single mum showed off her £20 transformation and admitted she used the same tiles in a different finish in her kitchen.

She wrote: "Done my flooring with vinyl tiles from Poundland... 3 tiles in each pack costing £20! Barging for me being a single mum (sic)."

It's safe to say others have been left pretty impressed with many keen on using the tiles themselves.

"Might do this for the kitchen and bathroom!!! Need to go poundland haba," one woman said.

"Looks lovely no one would know to look at it that it only cost £20," said another.

While a third praised the woman's efforts and said: "Looks great and such a bargain too."

Others shared their own DIY projects admitting to using the same tiles on pantry shelves and laundry rooms too.

There are three varieties available on the - granite, wood and black and white diamond - so there's no doubt a style for everyone.
