‘Supportive’ Camilla comforted Prince Charles who was ‘overcome by grief’ at Prince Philip funeral, expert claims
PRINCE Charles was “overcome by grief” at Prince Philip’s funeral today as his “supportive” wife Camilla stood by his side during the emotional ceremony at St George’s Chapel.
The pair joined other members of the Royal family to mourn the loss of Prince Philip who passed away on April 9 at the age of 99.

Body language expert Judi James explained that Prince Charles‘ has “spent a lifetime masking his emotions in public” but today his tears appeared to “flow throughout the service”.
Speaking to , Judi said that Camilla was seen “comforting” her husband with “the same comforting hand-pat that she often used to use in the early days after their relationship went public.”
According to the body language expert, this shows the “same supportive and almost maternal traits that seemed to bind them as a couple before their marriage.”
Philip’s funeral was different to any other royal’s after Covid made the family strip back all tradition.
Just 30 guests attended and the Queen did not take part in the procession from Windsor Castle.
Everyone entering the chapel wore a face mask and all members of the Royal Family sat two metres apart.
The Queen sat alone during the service and separate from other members of the Royal family.
Judi said that the monarch looked “solitary and isolated during the service” and that “Charles’s tears might have been a sign that he is now feeling the same without his father to guide him.”
Camilla, as well as the other royal family members, wore an all-black outfit in line with royal protcol, which had a sweet nod to Prince Philip.
Kate Middleton also paid a touching nod to Diana AND the Queen today as she wore a pearl choker the Monarch loaned to the Princess.
The Duchess of Cornwall wore a brooch with a sentimental meaning which signified her position as the Colonel-in-Chief of the Rifles.
The role was given to her last year after the Duke of Edinburgh previously held the title.
Prince Philip‘s funeral also marked the first time Prince Harry and Prince William have been seen together since the Commonwealth Service last year – and Judi claims that the brothers displayed wildly different emotions.
Speaking to Fabulous, Judi James said the brothers found comfort in one another after leaving the emotional ceremony at St George’s Chapel.
Meghan, 39, made “every effort” to travel but didn’t receive medical clearance from her physician.
Harry reportedly made contact with Charles, William, Beatrice and Eugenie since returning.
The royal was said to have wanted to “park any disputes” before the funeral for Philip, who passed away last Friday aged 99.
He came face-to-face with his family for the first time today since quitting as a senior royal last year – and since his explosive chat with Oprah Winfrey.
