Expert shares how often you should be washing your towels and you’ve DEFINITELY not been doing it enough
IF you thought washing your towels once a week gives you the world's most organised title then think again, because an expert has revealed just how often you should actually be washing them.
In order to maintain cleanliness and prevent gross bacteria from spreading, home stylist Liz Amaya, from Brisbane, Australia, said towels should be washed every single day.
You read that right, every day, particularly hand towels - and it's left people shocked.
Liz shared the little-known fact with her 84,000 Instagram followers and said at the very most the towel you use after a shower or bath should be replaced after three uses.
"Towels absorb a lot of water and remain damp for hours, which is the perfect breeding ground for unwanted germs," she wrote in the clip.
And don't go assuming all towels and bath mats are created equal either as each have their own life span.
