Twins born in England to cheer on OPPOSITE teams at Scottish home

It comes after Scottish mum Karen, 26, and English dad Connor, 27, decided to have some fun by pitting the twins against each other.

Briar-Rose is set to support the Tartan Army along with her mum - while Aurora will be backing Gareth Southgate's men along with her dad.

The pair - who were both pictured in rival tops - were originally born in Morecambe, but now live north of the border in Bathgate.

Karen said she and her hubby came up with the hilarious idea the other day after Scotland and England played their first Euros games.

She told The Scottish Sun: "I just thought it was quite funny - because they're identical, it's funny to see one supporting each team.

"When England won the other day, Connor was buzzing, and then we lost when we were playing.

"We were having a laugh - he texted me the score and sent a screenshot saying 'unlucky'. We asked the girls - does one want to go with mum, and the other goes with dad?

"Briar-Rose's favourite colour is blue, so she went with Scotland, and Aurora's favourite colour is pink, so she chose England. They were having so much fun when they dressed up today."

While Briar-Rose and Aurora may not know too much about football yet, Karen said both will be desperate to see their preferred side triumph.

She said: "We were trying to explain as much as we could to the girls - they've been calling it the red and the blue team, so they want their team to win.

"They had been practicing for a sports day recently - and you should see how competitive they are. It's so funny watching them. That could be a twin thing, how competitive they are.

"They've got such great characters - they're both sassy and headstrong. I wouldn't say there's a quieter twin. They're both animated."

Karen is hoping her beloved Scotland will be able to triumph by pulling off a huge upset and win at Wembley - but admitted she's fearing the worst.

Meanwhile, hubby Connor is confident England will pick up the three points and believes they'll secure a 2-0 victory.

While the two girls both know who they're backing tomorrow, Karen admitted their allegiances could switch as they grow up.

She joked: "I think they'll go between who supports each team - it'll depend on which parent they like more! You never know - they might change by tomorrow!"

We told earlier how for tomorrow's huge clash at Wembley.
