Charles’ ‘jutting’ jaw suggests ‘possible anger’ in first outing since Harry’s book reveal, body language expert reveals
PRINCE Charles today stepped out for this first public appearance since Harry announced he is releasing a memoir.
And a body language expert had said the Prince of Wales’ “jutting” jaw suggests “possible anger”.
The royal was said to be "surprised" by his son's revelation - with the family told just moments before the news became public.
Today he met with key workers on the Isles of Scilly as part of a three-day tour of Cornwall and surrounding regions.
Body language guru Judi James told Fabulous: “As Charles chats to a group of teens in Cornwall today his performed rituals suggest he is as upbeat and carefree.
“However another story emerges when we glimpse Charles’s body language in between chats.
“His face has fallen and there appears to be a slight jutting of his lower jaw in a gesture associated with determination and possible anger.”
Judi said the prince’s hand gesture looks “even more telling.”

She explained: “When we are under pressure or feeling anxious we normally revert to symbolic or mimicry gestures, either replicating rituals from a time when we felt safe, like nail-biting or pen-chewing to mimic thumb-sucking and breast-feeding as a child, or we directly mimic the body language of people we feel closest to.
"In Prince Harry’s case he will start fiddling with his wedding ring to evoke the support and comfort of his wife, and here Charles performs the forward-pointing finger-steepling gesture that is always used by his wife Camilla.
“It suggests an underlying need for comfort and support despite the bravado of all the smiles and jokes.”
His visit comes after Harry sensationally revealed he is penning a book that will examine the “highs and lows” of his extraordinary life as royal
Harry delivered the announcement on the first day in 15 months that Clarence House announced Charles and Camilla were on a public engagement.
The Sun broke the news to aides while Charles was at a reception in Lostwithiel, Cornwall, at 6.30pm.
It is not known if Harry — who met brother William at their mother Diana’s statue unveiling this month — previously told The Queen about it.
A spokesman for Harry said he told his family including the Queen about the book only “very recently”.
Harry is set to detail his life as a royal, his relationship with Meghan, Megxit and raising their children, Lilibet and Archie.
The book's publisher said it was an “honest” and “intimate” autobiography – sparking fears of more revelations after his Oprah interview with Meghan accused the Royal Family of racism.
