Senior royals warned Meghan Markle not to pursue bitter court battle and now she’s ‘been found out

And Meghan’s sensational texts to her former press secretary accusing the royals of “constantly berating” Prince Harry over her estranged dad’s actions were also shared in court.

The Mail on Sunday newspaper revealed explosive new evidence as it tried to overturn an earlier ruling that it had breached Meghan’s privacy and copyright by disclosing details of her letter to dad Thomas, 77.

But  claims family members and one trusted lawyer all advised the Duchess of Sussex, 40, to drop the case, saying they are “frustrated” by the fall-out.

A royal source told the newspaper: “There is frustration all the way to the top, because a lot of people told them that it was unwise to proceed with the case.  Now you have been found out. “They [the royal family] will think they should never have taken it to court.”

The couple will visit Jordan and Egypt on a trip to strengthen bilateral relations in the region.

  • Stylist issue comes after bombshell interview with Oprah

This comes after Meghan told Oprah Winfrey during her bombshell interview in March that she felt trapped with the royal family.

She also said that she experienced suicidal thoughts - as well as having to hand over her passport, driver's licence and keys.

Meghan also claimed a senior royal had asked how “dark” Harry and Meghan’s son Archie would be when born and how royal life had left her on the verge of suicide.

  • The stylist narrative (Continued...)

In August, the Duchess wrote Royal aide Jason Knauf an email which read: "You know how personally frustrating I find the 'stylist' narrative (as it's the only thing I seem to still have any control over—my personal styling).

"But given we are being asked to cooperate with this evidently authoritative biography I need to share I will not be comfortable doing so if this person is considered an authority and is tweeting the below.

"Can we set up a time to chat? I feel he needs to be back briefed ASAP if there's any conversation about working with them moving forward.

"He's being quoted in Town and Country and various others as saying [redacted] styled me which is patently untrue..."

And when Meghan sent a briefing note to Knauf to give to the Finding Freedom authors, she reiterated the fact she didn't have a stylist.

  • Meghan said Royal Family 'controlled every part of her life but one'

Her bombshell emails disclosed in court now reveal that Meghan Markle was insistent that she didn't have a stylist - and that it was the "only thing" she seemed to be able to control.

Royal aide Jason Knauf dramatically broke ranks to reveal bombshell texts and emails with the Duchess - in which she says she finds it "personally frustrating" that people claimed she had a stylist.

Text messages and emails between Meghan, 40, and her former communications secretary were made public for the first time last week.

Amid her claims that she had no control over her life while in the Firm, Meghan admits that she did have authority over her "personal styling."

In a Tweet, one person named Meghan's friends as her stylist - which the Duchess clearly took issue with.

  • Harry 'tackling misinformation'

Harry has recently released a report on “tackling misinformation” in technology, media and social media.

  • Taking it easy

The Queen is resting at Windsor Castle where she is expected to carry out light duties this week after missing the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph.

The 95-year-old monarch, who is said to have suffered a sprained back, has no official engagements on Monday, but is due to carry out virtual audiences in a few days’ time.

No major public engagements are planned for the head of state before the end of the year, but November and December are often quieter months for her royal calendar and her diary had already been set as such.

She has cancelled an appearance at the General Synod on Tuesday – the first time the Queen, who is Supreme Governor of the Church of England, has missed her five-yearly visit to the Church’s national assembly in its 51-year history.

The Queen has been on doctors’ orders to rest for nearly a month after being admitted to hospital for preliminary investigations – her first overnight stay in a medical facility in eight years – on October 20.

She has not been seen carrying out official public duties in person since hosting a reception at Windsor for global business leaders on October 19.

  • Queen’s Platinum Jubilee programme ‘will reflect her age’

Aides will be conscious of plans for the Platinum Jubilee next year, with the monarch due to reach the milestone in February, and participate in a busy four-day bank holiday weekend of festivities in June.

During the Diamond Jubilee, the Duke of Edinburgh, then 90, was in hospital for five days with a bladder infection and missed the Jubilee concert following a wet and windy trip down the Thames for the River Pageant.

Majesty magazine managing editor Joe Little said the Platinum Jubilee would be different from the 2012 Diamond Jubilee in terms of what the Queen does.

“The Platinum Jubilee programme will reflect her age, although the Palace won’t say as much, and other people will be doing engagements on her behalf,” Mr Little said.

“We know she won’t go to the Commonwealth or do any tours, but how much she does in the UK will be interesting to see.”

  • Queen to mark milestone

The Queen will mark a heartbreaking milestone this weekend, without her husband Prince Phillip.

Prince Phillip died on April 9, this year at the age of 99.

On Saturday 20 November 20, the Royal couple would have celebrated their 74th year of marriage.

The monarch also faces her first Christmas without Philip.

It is understood she will host her extended family in Norfolk this year, having missed out on a big family Christmas last year due to Covid restrictions.

She was said to be back reading her official government red boxes.

She stayed overnight because it was getting too late to take her on a 26-mile trip home, sources said.

October 21 - Her Majesty was discharged — with Buckingham Palace saying she was in “good spirits” after “preliminary investigations” during her visit to hospital.

  • How is the Queen doing today?

It is understood that The Queen's sprain is recent and unrelated to her medics' advice to rest.

However, doctors have confirmed that Her Majesty will not require hospital treatment.

Buckingham Palace statement read: "The Queen, having sprained her back, has decided this morning with great regret that she will not be able to attend today's Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cenotaph.

"Her Majesty is disappointed that she will miss the service."

Discussing the Queen's absence, royal author Angela Levin said she would have found it "very uncomfortable to travel by car from Windsor to London" and then "stand for a long time".

She told GB News: "She apparently watched it on television, so she was there in spirit, but of course not in herself. I think we all feel an age is coming to end, but we don't know how long and I think that's quite right too really."

Thomas Mace-Archer-Mills, a royal commentator and founder of The Monarchists, told Express.co.uk that: “People have been following The Duchess of Sussex simply for the fact she is intriguing."

  • Queen's diary is empty

Royal commentators are speculating that the Queen is unlikely to be out and about in coming months with no major public engagements set for the rest of the year.

Joe Little, the managing editor of Majesty magazine said there had been a "collective sigh of relief" when she was due to be at the Cenotaph, but the situation had "regressed".

Mr Little added that the celebration of the monarch's Platinum Jubilee will be different from her Diamond Jubilee and will "reflect her age".

The monarch is due to reach the milestone in February, and a busy four-day bank holiday weekend of festivities in June will ensue.

  • Queen entering new phase of her reign

Journalist Penny Junor "it is not surprising" that the Queen missed the Remembrance Day service.

She spoke out after the announcement, and suggested that the Queen is entering a new phase of her reign, saying she won't be seen as much in public.

"We're so used to seeing her out and about and looking years younger than she is that I think we've been lulled into thinking she can go on at this kind of pace forever.

"Clearly she can't. There comes a time in everybody's life when they have to admit that they are getting older and can't do the things that they perhaps want to do," Ms Junor said.

  • Adele & Meghan’s charity work

Back in 2019, Adele, Meghan, and Prince Harry gave clues about their bond as they were photographed together at a community kitchen.

The images are believed to have been taken during a secret visit made by Meghan and Harry in 2018, with Adele also in attendance.

It’s thought to have been Harry’s first visit to the Hubb Community Kitchen, which provides support for the families of the Grenfell Tower fire.

  • Three exhibitions announced to mark Platinum Jubilee

It has been announced that there will be three special exhibitions to mark the Platinum Jubilee next year.

The Royal Collection is staging the displays, each commemorating the significant occasions of Elizabeth II's reign, at official royal residences in 2022.

Buckingham Palace will also host Platinum Jubilee: The Queen's Accession featuring historic photographic portraits of the head of state taken just 20 days after she acceded to the throne.

The Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, will also display a collection of outfits worn by the Queen during her Silver, Golden, and Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Sally Morgan received a phone call from the Duke of Sussex around eight years ago while he was in an on/off relationship with Cressida Bonas.

  • Meghan & Harry could return for Jubilee

A royal author has said that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are likely to return to London for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration as their association with the Royal Family is "vital" for their success.

Royal biographer Ian Lloyd said: "I would be surprised if they didn't appear next year for the Jubilee, and that's because their brand relies on the fact that they are associated with the Royal Family.

"As much as they appear to fight against it and go off in their own direction to do things, the only reason that they are getting the fame they have at the moment is because Harry is the grandson of Elizabeth II and his mother was Princess of Wales, Diana, who everybody in America adored.

"The association with the Royal Family is vital so I think they would probably want to come to be associated with them, just to keep their brand alive."

  • Camilla fought to make sure myths about Prince Charles were debunked

According to royal expert Richard Kay, Camilla was "frustrated" to see false myths about her husband Prince Charles remaining "unchallenged".

Richard said: "Of these the most eccentric was that at breakfast, seven eggs each boiled to a different degree of softness were set before him so that he could choose the one with the right consistency.

"While hardly the most egregious of fables, she was frustrated that this and other misleading beliefs about the man she loves were allowed to remain unchallenged."

  • Harry told 'to take a step back'

A royal expert has advised the Duke of Sussex to "take a step back" after his latest intervention on misinformation and social media was met with a backlash.

Historian Dr Tessa Dunlop told Palace Confidential: "In relation to Harry and Meghan, and this torturous to-ing and fro-ing with social media, I agree they need to take a step back.

"They’re clearly spending way too long scrolling. There seems to be ambiguity around his messaging.

"I am fond of him and I think he could be better advised to steer clear of big issues like the First Amendment when it comes to social media."
