Prince Charles' conversations with William about future of monarchy
A royal expert has claimed that Prince Charles, 72, is first in line to the throne when the Queen dies, but has been facing calls to let Prince William take over as head of state.
Royal expert Jonathan Sacerdoti has said there is "no strong argument" for Charles to let the crown to go to William.
Speaking to Express.co.uk, Mr Sacerdoti said: "I don't think there's a strong argument for it and I think that Prince Charles will be a different kind of monarch to his mother and William will be a different kind of monarch to his father and grandmother.
"I think there is no chance that Prince Charles will be King for as long as his mother.
"It's just statistically and mathematically impossible."

What did Meghan's email say?
In August, the Duchess wrote Knauf an email which read: "You know how personally frustrating I find the 'stylist' narrative (as it's the only thing I seem to still have any control over—my personal styling).
"But given we are being asked to cooperate with this evidently authoritative biography I need to share I will not be comfortable doing so if this person is considered an authority and is tweeting the below.
"Can we set up a time to chat? I feel he needs to be back briefed ASAP if there's any conversation about working with them moving forward.
"He's being quoted in Town and Country and various others as saying [redacted] styled me which is patently untrue..."
And when Meghan sent a briefing note to Knauf to give to the Finding Freedom authors, she reiterated the fact she didn't have a stylist.
In her notes, written in the third person, the final line read simply: "Also Meghan does not work with a stylist; [redacted] is her close friend."
This comes after Meghan told Oprah Winfrey during her bombshell interview in March that she felt trapped with the royal family.

MEGHAN Markle complained that the Royal Family controlled every part of her life - apart from one.

Royal aide Jason Knauf dramatically broke ranks to reveal bombshell texts and emails with the Duchess - in which she says she finds it "personally frustrating" that people claimed she had a stylist.
Text messages and emails between Meghan, 40, and her former communications secretary were made public for the first time last week.
Amid her claims that she had no control over her life while in the Firm, Meghan admits that she did have authority over her "personal styling."
In a Tweet, one person named Meghan's friends as her stylist - which the Duchess clearly took issue with.

Sources say there were concerns over how a car journey to London and a period of standing could impact her injury.
One said it is “incredibly unfortunate timing and nobody regrets her absence today more deeply than her Majesty herself”.
She will now remain at Windsor Castle and does not require hospital treatment.
It is understood she plans to continue with her schedule of light duties over the next week.

The Monarch was discharged from hospital on Thursday, October 21, 2021 — with Buckingham Palace saying she was in “good spirits” after “preliminary investigations” during her visit to hospital.
It was believed her medical team acted out of caution to have her admitted to King Edward VII hospital in Marylebone on Wednesday, October 20.

Queen's Platinum Jubilee programme 'will reflect her age' says expert
Aides will be conscious of plans for the Platinum Jubilee next year, with the monarch due to reach the milestone in February, and participate in a busy four-day bank holiday weekend of festivities in June.
During the Diamond Jubilee, the Duke of Edinburgh, then 90, was in hospital for five days with a bladder infection and missed the Jubilee concert following a wet and windy trip down the Thames for the River Pageant.
Majesty magazine managing editor Joe Little said the Platinum Jubilee would be different from the 2012 Diamond Jubilee in terms of what the Queen does.
"The Platinum Jubilee programme will reflect her age, although the Palace won't say as much, and other people will be doing engagements on her behalf," Mr Little said.
"We know she won't go to the Commonwealth or do any tours, but how much she does in the UK will be interesting to see."
Royal expert says public 'won't see Queen out and about on official business'
Royal commentators speculated that the monarch is unlikely to be out and about in the coming months and that the Remembrance Sunday setback marked a new phase in her reign, where she is seen more on video and less in the flesh.

He added that there had been a "collective sigh of relief" when she was due to be at the Cenotaph, but the situation had "regressed".
