Mrs Hinch fan shares genius hack on how to get rid of cigarette smoke smell in seconds

MRS Hinch's cleaning tips have become so popular, her fans have been discovering their own.

Mrs Hinch is Britain's favourite cleanfluencer and fans fawn over her helpful tips on a Facebook group which has nearly 700k members - themselves a font of all cleaning knowledge.

One member, Paula Champion, asked the group: "Can anyone recommend how to get the smell of cigarette smoke out of a house?"

Going in to a smokers home of 30 years she said, the stench was unreal.

Mrs Hinch fans flooded in with hacks for removing the unwelcome stink.

Claire Weaver commented: "You are very brave buying a smoker’s home, it’s not for the faint hearted!"

Claire advised: "If you have wooden floorboards I’d say they’d be full of tar, best to seal them then re-floor too, along with getting all the walls back to plaster, washing every wall, ceiling, surface etc. at least five times."

Lala Plp added: "Sugar soap and lift all the carpets."

Joanne Stitt optimistically said that all you need to do is "a good clean of everything and plenty of fresh air."

Abbigail Lee echoed this saying: "I even left my front door open for a few hours" before she used sugar soap to clean her walls.

Plenty of sugar soap as well as buckets of elbow grease could make dents in the lingering smell but you may need to get in something more powerful.

But Von Thatch warned: "100 percent a 'good clean' won't work. It will be saturated into carpets / fabrics, even wallpaper."
