A SAVVY whizz has revealed how turned a plain IKEA table into an expensive marble dupe spending less than £30.

Shayna Alnwick, who quit her waitress job and now earns thousands by stunning furniture transformations, shared the video on .

The American, who now lives in the UK, had had her eyes on a marble table for a while - but instead of spending almost a grand, the crafty DIY guru decided to make her own using a cheap IKEA table that she had thrifted before.

In the short video, which has over 85 thousand likes, Shayna demonstrated the easy process, which took a little over an hour.

According to her, all she needed to do was wrap some marble contact paper on four sheets of MDF board (medium density fibreboard) and do the same with the LACK table.

''The use some glue and brad nails to secure them.

'' I sealed all the edges with silicon and this is the final result.

''It was so easy and cost less than £20.''

Viewers appeared to be impressed with the easy DIY hack, with one fan commenting: ''R U KIDDING ME THIS IS MARVELOUS.''

Another added: ''Oh hell yes. I’m doing this.''

''Very cool. Not at all what I was expecting!'' a user wrote.

''I mean, not super original as far as IKEA hacks go,'' a fellow Instagrammer said.

''But it sure does look great!!''

Although some branded her a ''genius'', there were also those who seemed to be more skeptical, like this person: ''Wow...where did the legs go?

''N how did it look so much more square/thicker than the lack table?''

Someone else was wondering: ''How would you keep it from getting ruined?

''Like do you put a sealer on it or something?''

The talented craftswoman, from Glasgow, even gives each furniture piece a name and gender, such as a gothic-style sideboard that she called Draco Malfoy.
