I’m the president of a home cleaning company – why you’re ALWAYS dusting and how to keep your home clean for longer
DUSTING is probably the one chore that’s never-ending.
Lucky for you, the president of Molly Maid, a home cleaning company, has shared the proper way to keep your home dust-free for longer.
CHANGE YOUR CLEANING METHOD AND USE THE RIGHT TOOLS
Vera Peterson revealed that the best way to tackle dusting is by doing the “top-down approach.”
She told : “When dusting, work from top to bottom – dust first, then vacuum.”
And although feather dusters were once the go-to for getting rid of the filthy powder, they actually just end up spreading more of the dirt around.
Instead, get ahold of a microfiber cloth to keep dirt from landing on other parts of your home.
IDENTIFY ANY DUST-ENHANCING CULPRITS
If you ever notice your home is accumulating more dust than usual, it could be your filters.
She explained: “An electrostatic-charged furnace filter attracts and captures dust particles which reduce the amount of dust floating in your home.”
CALL THE PROS
Although most are willing to do whatever it takes to avoid dirt from entering their home, a housekeeper could also be beneficial.
In fact, sometimes the professionals are even able to reach the toughest areas in the home, which turn out to be the dirtiest.
