Savvy mum shares flannel hack if you can’t afford mop refills & it doesn’t cost a penny
WITH dozens of different products to stock up on, looking after your house can be quite costly - and bad for the environment.
But, luckily, one savvy cleaning whizz has come up with a solution for getting your floors sparkling clean without robbing the bank.
Taking it to the on Facebook, Hayley Karma Gordon, a mum from Portsmouth, revealed the genius hack.
''Im not sure who this will help but if you can't afford the wipes you can use flannels [sic],'' she wrote in the caption of the post that's been liked by almost 6,500 members.
According to the guru, she had previously been using two cleaning wipes just for her kitchen - which, she added, is small.
Unsatisfied with going through wipes at the rate she was - Hayley also claimed these would often dry out even before she had finished cleaning - the mum came up with a solution.

The simple trick, described as ''genius'' and ''amazing'' by other cleaning fans, was swapping the mop wipes with a flannel - old and used ones work just as well.
According to her, these fit the mop fine and won't slide off, causing a mess.
It was also recommended to stick to darker colour flannels - as white ones, she pointed out, will go grey after a few times of using.
The folded flannels should be stored away in a box - this will ensure you don't mix up the regular flannels with the ones designated for mopping the floor.
