Here’s a list of things to always pick up at the dollar store and items to leave behind
AN expert has shared their advice when it comes to shopping at dollar stores.
Consumer analyst Julie Ramhold said consumers should always buy items including candy, greetings cards and cups.
But she warned there are certain items they should always avoid.
That's because they might actually be cheaper in other stores or the quality might not be as good.
Ramhold told : "In general, some items at the Dollar Store will be bad purchases because the quality isn’t the best or the price per unit is higher than what you’d pay elsewhere.
"On the other hand, some items will be great for purchasing at the dollar store because you can get name brands for less than if you were to shop elsewhere, so you get the same great quality for a lower price.”
