TRIP GONE WRONG

I bought plane tickets for a day trip to Florida with my friends–our flight home got canceled & we had to drive 18 HOURS

A GROUP of friends spontaneously decided to escape the cold and book flights for a day trip to Florida from New York.

Unfortunately, the plan backfired and they claimed they ended up driving 18 hours home so they could get to work on time.

she posted online.

Over footage of her and her friends flying on a plane and then enjoying the day on a sunny Fort Lauderdale area beach, Lopez wrote: "When we buy $80 tickets to Florida to go to the beach and dinner for the day and come back the same night because we're sick of the cold."

She even claimed she and her friends took advantage of the free day trial offered by Planet Fitness so they could use the showers after their beach outing.

Then, she showed a notice from Spirit Airlines detailing that their flight had been canceled.

In more text written over the video, Lopez claimed there were no flights available for two days, so she and her friends decided to drive back home because they all had work on Monday.

The trip was apparently 18 hours long and they drove through the night.

Despite the mishap, Lopez said she still had a great time with her girlfriends.

"Definitely an experience we will never forget!!

In response to folks who were angry at Spirit Airlines, Lopez claimed they were not the only airline to cancel flights out of Fort Lauderdale that night.

The US Sun reached out to Spirit Airlines in a request for comment on the claims, but did not receive an immediate response.
