PRINCE Harry today revealed he wants the "right people" around the Queen to "protect" her as he spoke out in a preview for yet another bombshell interview.
The Duke of Sussex sparked fury with his comments in the trailer clip for an explosive chat to be aired on the Today Show later today.
The 37-year-old, who dramatically quit the Royal Family in Megxit two years ago before moving to the US, has only returned to the UK a handful of times - most recently MISSING his grandfather Prince Philip's memorial.
But the Sun exclusively revealed Harry returned to the UK and met with the Queen last week with his wife Meghan Markle — their first joint UK trip since they quit royal duty in March 2020.
Revealing details of his first face-to-face meeting with the Queen since the snub to Philip's memorial, Prince Harry insisted he wanted to protect the stoic monarch who has served for more than 70 years.
He told US journalist Hoda Kotb: "I'm just making sure that she's, you know, protected and got the right people around her."
But his comments have sparked fury, with royal experts saying his comment was a "gross insult" that showed his "arrogance".
Royal author Angela Levin tweeted: “His comment on US TV is a gross insult to all the royal family, the royal doctors and all the aides around HM. His arrogance knows no bounds.”
Fellow expert Robert Jobson added: "Prince Harry says on US TV he is making sure the Queen is 'protected and has the right people around her'. How so?
"I think you’ll find that Prince Charles and Her Majesty’s children and William are DOING just that and supporting the Queen, with actions - and not just words."
Piers Morgan also hit out at Harry's claims, pointing out the royal was living 6,000 miles away from the Queen - and had released plans of writing a tell-all biography about life as a Royal.
Prince Harry also sat down for an explosive interview with Oprah last year, unleashing a string of claims against the Royal Family including allegations of racism within the Firm.
He is also locked in a legal battle over security, claiming he does not feel safe in the UK.
The palace is now bracing for more barbs as Harry's full interview will be broadcast on the Today Show at 12pm UK time today.
But speaking in the interview trailer, Harry insisted he and his grandmother got along, adding she "always had a great sense of humour".
Describing the secret visit, he said: "Both Meg and I had tea with her. It was really nice to catch up with her.
"Being with her, it was great. It was just so nice to see her.
"You know she's on great form. She's always got a great sense of humor with me."
Both Harry and Meghan stepped back from royal life after walking away from the family in January 2020.
And Harry said that the US, where he lives with Meghan and their children Archie, 2, and Lilibet, almost one, now felt like home to him - but hinted at a possible move.

He said: "Home for me now is, for the time being, it's in the States. And it really feels that way as well.
"We've been welcomed with open arms and we've got such a great community up in Santa Barbara."
The full interview is set to air on the Today Show at 7am EST (12pm BST) on Wednesday, with Harry currently attending the Invictus Games in the Netherlands.
The interview is also expected to shed new light on Harry's life with wife Meghan Markle.
The Duke - now alone at his Invictus Games after Meghan flew home to Los Angeles - looked relaxed and happy as he took an unscheduled walk around the park yesterday.
Meghan flew back from Amsterdam to Los Angeles after telling well-wishers she misses her two children Archie and Lilibet.
FUN AND GAMES
Harry's every move is being captured by a team from Netflix.
Last week, the Sun exclusively revealed how Harry and Meghan met Charles, Camilla and the Queen at Windsor Castle on Thursday during their first face-to-face meeting in more than two years.
The duke offered an “olive branch” to his father before he and Meghan arrived for secret talks.
The couple also met with Camilla, sources confirmed.
An insider said of Thursday’s UK visit: “Harry contacted his father and said he wanted to meet.”
Sources have claimed the Queen invited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to join the Royal Family on the Buckingham Palace balcony in June.
But non-working members of the firm are not able to take part in Trooping the Colour - or play any central role in Jubilee events.
This makes it highly unlikely that the couple will play a part in the Queen's celebration of 70 years on the throne.

It is understood to be Her Majesty's "dearest wish" to see her family reunited on the balcony during her four-day celebration, the Express reports.
Sources close to the palace said the claims were "speculation" and Buckingham Palace declined to comment.
