Prince Harry says Archie has inherited his ‘cheeky’ side & runs into Zoom calls, as he gushes about parenting ‘chaos’

PRINCE Harry says Archie has inherited his “cheeky” side and likes to run into Zoom calls when he is working.

The Duke of Sussex, 37, gushed about his young family on NBC as he spoke to US news anchor Hoda Kotb in The Hague, where the Invictus Games are being held.

Prince Harry was asked about a typical Wednesday in his life in Santa Barbara, California.

He said: “It revolves around the kids, as much as humanly possible.

“This working from home stuff is not all it’s cracked up to be, certainly post Covid, because it’s really hard when your kids and you are in the same place.

“It’s really hard to separate the work from them, because they kind of overlap.

“Archie spends more time interrupting Zoom calls than anyone else.

“But he also gets us off them too.”

When asked if Archie has inherited his cheeky side, Harry said: “I think so yeah.

“I’ll always try and keep that, I think the cheekiness is something that keeps you alive.”

Prince Harry, who welcomed Archie in May 2019 and Lilibet last June, with wife Meghan Markle, gushed about being a parent.

He said: “What do I love about fatherhood? All of it. I like the chaos, the learning, the reminder of just every element of your self.

“When you are not a parent, you can get sucked into all sorts of stuff and you maybe sometimes forget who you are.

“Suddenly as a parent, especially now Archie is the age that he is at, asking all the questions.

“All the questions of the whys. He’s into the why stage. Why this? Why that? Why that?

“Instead of trying to move it on, I try to give him the most honest answer that I can and then it goes on and on and on until he is satisfied and then that’s it, it is done.

“Otherwise it ends up with ‘because the world is round and that is the way life is’.

"I love it, I love every part of it. I always wanted to be a dad, I always wanted to have my own kids and now I have two little people who I am responsible for.”

He also revealed he speaks to Archie about his late mum, Princess Diana and said they have photos of her around their Montecito house.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been promoting the Invictus Games over the past few days.

Harry bade farewell to Meghan, 40, on Monday and she flew back from Amsterdam to Los Angeles after telling well-wishers she misses her two children Archie and Lilibet.

His every move is being captured by a team from Netflix as part of his £113million deal with the streaming giants.

Sources have claimed the Queen invited the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to join the Royal Family on the Buckingham Palace balcony in June.

Last week, the Sun exclusively revealed how Harry and Meghan met Charles, Camilla and the Queen at Windsor Castle on Thursday during their first face-to-face meeting in more than two years.

The Duke of Sussex offered an “olive branch” to his father before he and Meghan arrived for secret talks.

The couple also met with Camilla, sources confirmed.

An insider said of Thursday’s UK visit: “Harry contacted his father and said he wanted to meet.”

But non-working members of the firm are not able to take part in Trooping the Colour - or play any central role in Jubilee events.

This makes it highly unlikely that the couple will play a part in the Queen's celebration of 70 years on the throne.
