Mrs Hinch fans share how to get a streak-free sparkling hob with common household cupboard essential

FANS of the cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch have shared an easy hack which promises to keep your hob streak-free and sparkling.

It may feel like you're constantly wiping down your hob and that fingerprints and smears are constantly appearing on the glass.

Mrs Hinch, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, 32, has long been a fan favourite, with close to 4.5million followers on .

The star rose to fame a few years ago with various home hacks and now her fans have even started dedicated cleaning pages on social media.

In one such group,  on Facebook, a member sought advice: "So I’ve tried cleaning my stainless steel cooker with white vinegar, stainless steel cleaner, baby oil, soapy water. Help I just can’t get it streak free. It’s driving me nuts!”

Luckily the woman's post was inundated with other cleaning fans' hacks to keep your hob streak free.

reported that some tips involved using chemical products, while others methods consisted of natural products.

but there was one product in particular that people kept recommending, WD40.

One wrote: “I use WD40 or the wood silk – both do a brilliant job.”

Another user agreed. She commented: “WD40 just squirt on and I rub with a minky micro fibre sponge – absolutely brilliant, or you can just use paper towel or a white cloth.”

WD40 is a multi-purpose rust removal solution, available in some shops for just £4.99.

Others suggested using baby oil to keep it streak-free.

One commented: "Baby oil normally works, put it on small amount on a dry micro fibre cloth, don’t rub it too much, let it settle and leave it.”

"Baby oil and a soft cloth.” Another person agreed.

A third said: "Baby oil and kitchen roll.”

Others suggested their favourite cleaning products, one advised them: "Try Flash Kitchen Spray and buff dry. Works every time for me. Brings stainless steel back like new every time.”

Another suggested: "I use elbow grease, wipe it off and buff with a paper towel. If occasionally there are any streaks I just use Method glass cleaner – perfect finish.”
