In the short Instagram reel, Helen tells her 73,200 followers to use a derma roller - a popular skin care device which uses small, fine needles to puncture the skin - combined with Act+Acre’s award-winning Stem Cell Serum.
First, Helen derma rolls the front part of her scalp in a series of quick and even motions.
Next, she applies several drops of the Stem Cell Serum directly onto the area she has just derma rolled, allowing it to soak in.
Helen explains that this fool-proof two-step routine will “increase blood flow and help your scalp to better absorb the product,” which promises to “extend the growth phase.”

The expert, who has worked with the likes of Alicia Keys and Harry Styles during her successful career, also adds that the hair hack works best on “a dry scalp in the evenings as an overnight treatment,” or just after the hair has been cleaned.
Meanwhile, Helen, who founded Act+Acre with her husband, Colm Mackin, back in 2018, said exactly the same method can be used on eyebrows to promote their hair growth.
