The 37-year-old prince has played polo all his life and has joined a team with his good friend and sportsman, Nacho Figueras.

Today it emerged he will play the entirety of the polo season with his professional chums, according to royal reporter Omid Scoobie.

And one of the fixtures will clash with his gran's celebrations - with the Cheval Athletics USPA Intra-Circuit tournament due to take place June 3-19.

It means the Duke could miss joining his family on Buckingham Palace's balcony among other major celebrations.
