I spent £4k flying to Turkey for new teeth – now I’m trolled even MORE than before because they’re so massive
RECENTLY, we have seen more and more people head abroad to get a new set of pearly white teeth.
But one woman has been left horrified after flying to Turkey and spending a whopping £4,000 on her teeth, to find herself being trolled due to the size of them.
Business owner Kellie Swanton, 27, from Hitchin, Hertfordshire, jetted off in February to get her new set of teeth.
After years of bullying, Kellie forked out £4,000 on the new teeth, but says she has been trolled even more due to the size of her white gnashers.
Kellie used some of her savings for the procedure, and after researching different dentists, Kellie decided to travel to Turkey in February for six days.
Documenting her journey online, Kellie says she has been trolled about her new teeth by strangers who say they look like they belong to a horse.

Kellie explains: "I've been told that I look like a horse and that they're not a good shape and don't fit in my mouth properly.
"They've also said that I should get my money back, that my teeth were going to fall out and that they're too long, people would make just really unnecessary comments.
"In the end I just ended up filtering the comments, I feel that if you allow people to comment hate, you allow them the platform to do so, so I just took their opportunity away from them to spread the hate.
"I just expected my grandma to put a like on the post and that would be it, I didn't expect it to go viral, there has been 73K likes and over a million views on the video. My phone was going crazy.

"I have also had a lot of people telling me they liked them and being really positive which is great."
Kellie says she has battled with her teeth since she was a child.
She added: "My teeth have never been good, it is my family genetics. I was subject to bullying at school for so long. I got braces at 12-years-old but they failed.
"I got ten porcelain crowns on the top set of teeth and ten on the bottom set. I also had root canals done in Turkey as well in the procedure.
"I wanted to document my journey for people who are thinking about doing the same thing.
"I found that TikTok helped me a lot in deciding what to get and get a better idea of how it all works, so I wanted to do the same with my journey and help people get more real life information on what happens."

Getting married this year, Kellie didn't want to look back at her wedding photos with regrets and hide from the camera. Kellie has now become a lot more confident with her smile since the three day procedure.
Kellie adds: "Overall it took three days, I spent a lot more time than I thought enjoying my holiday rather than spending most of my time at the dentist.
"On the first day, my teeth were filed down and my teeth were prepped ready.
"I also had root canal work done as well as whitening and scaling done. They then fitted two sets of temporary teeth which were like false clip in teeth that I wore for two days whilst the crowns were being made from the moulds taken.
"The second trip was then when I had the porcelain crowns fitted and the final trip was just a check up to make sure they were in place correctly.
"It ended up being more of a holiday than going just for the procedure, it wasn't as long as I thought it would be.
"I opted for porcelain crowns rather than veneers, for me this was the better option. My natural teeth were filed down for the crowns to then fit over them.
"I just can't believe people were giving their negative opinions. They don't think how it would affect others, it's easier said than done but you have control over how you react to other peoples comments.
"I don't respond with aggression or hate, but surely they have better things to do than give their negative opinions.
"This isn't new to me, I had a horrible time at school, but now being older I am a lot wiser and deal with things like this differently now.

"It could have crippled me but you either let it break you or let it make you stronger.
"I hope I can help people who are also subject to online abuse. I want them to know that the bully's comments do not define them and don’t let their comments become the centre of their universe."
