THE Queen has opened up her private archives, revealing never-seen-before footage and newsreels for her Platinum Jubilee.
More than 400 hours of clips from her childhood, days leading up to the coronation, and family life were scoured for a BBC documentary.
Her Majesty will narrate Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen thanks to producers cleverly using clippings from 60 speeches she has delivered.
Footage will include the monarch on her first trip abroad to South Africa at the age of 20, having fun with her sister Princess Margaret and being with her grandmother Queen Mary.

Noisy flags cause flap
COUNCIL chiefs have taken down bunting marking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee — because it was too noisy.
Patriotic red, white and blue decorations were put up in a town centre.
But local residents moaned the bunting’s plastic triangle flags caused such a din when they flapped that the noise was unbearable.
Now — to keep the peace — organisers in Sheerness on the Isle of Sheppey, Kent, have backed down and removed the Union Jack decorations.
Town council chairman Matt Bromley admitted: “We wanted something different this year so we went for a plastic material.
“But when the wind blew, it made such a racket that residents living above the shops complained.
“Rather than cause a nuisance, we have taken it down and are intending to donate it to the shops so they can use it to decorate their windows.”
He added: “It's been a learning curve. We will be going back to material next time.”
But Sheerness still intends to mark the Jubilee in style.
After a seven-month facelift costing £160,000, the town’s 120-year-old clock tower is set to ring out again.
Engineers pulled out all the stops to ensure it was back in time for the celebrations.
