During the Welsh visit, William and Kate and their kids met entertainers staging a show to mark the Queen's 70-year reign.

They were also introduced to Welsh weatherman Owain Wynn Evans, who gained fame during lockdown when he drummed to the BBC news theme tune.

He gave Charlotte and George a brief demonstration to show off his technique - but it was his flamboyant gold jacket, sequin shoes and glitzy trousers that stood out for the kids.

George joked of the glittery ensemble: "You need some in your hair too.”

He then giggled, looking amused at his comment.

Royal fans loved the sweet moment, with one saying: “Prince George laughing at his own joke.”

Another added: “He's so proud of his little joke.”

And a third commented: “The way he smiles prove he was born to be our future King.”

Prince George and his siblings stole the show at the four-day  Platinum Jubilee - and were front and centre at a number of the events.

George, Charlotte and Louis rode in a royal carriage at Trooping the Colour on Thursday, before stepping out on the Buckingham Palace balcony with the Queen for the flyover.

The eldest two Cambridge kids watched Saturday night’s Party at the Palace and George sung along to Sweet Caroline while proudly waving his flag.

They also had a very sweet reaction to the Queen’s Paddington Bear sketch, and George was seen being cheekily poked by Zara Tindall with a flag during the show.

On Sunday, George and his siblings watched the Jubilee pageant and ended the festivities on the balcony with Her Majesty.
