Jacket leaves the internet divided after people can’t figure out what colour it is – so is it grey or blue?
A JACKET has left the internet divided after people struggle to figure out its true colour – so which one do you see, blue or grey?
It’s the argument that drove us all mad back in 2015, when shopper Cecilia Bleasdale shared a photo of a £50 black and blue dress she was thinking of wearing to a wedding.
The photo sparked confusion, anger and fascination, because despite the dress definitely being blue and black, to many, it appeared gold and white.
Even celebrities, like Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift entered the viral debate.
And now, a few years later, another garment has left the social media users divided, after an unhappy Depop customer complained about a jacket delivered to them.
between the seller and the fashionista was shared on the popular Instagram page, .

The post, which has so far been liked by more than 6,000 people, starts with a screenshot of the chat the two had.
After thanking the seller for posting the garment so quickly, the buyer went on: ”I was wondering if I got the wrong one because in the photo it’s blue and red.”
However, upon receiving the delivered goods, the person then had a glance of the jacket and realised that, in fact, it’s grey and red.
The Depop seller, whose identity has not been disclosed, then replied a few minutes later.
”No it has been grey and red the whole time.
”The lighting must have made it look blue, I took the picture using natural liggt [light] [sic],” the person explained.

The buyer also submitted two images – one with the jacket as it has been listed on the app and a snap of the clothing piece sent to them.
In the first photo, some parts of the jacket did look baby blue, whereas in the following photo, it clearly had a very grey look.
To find out what the public thought, Depop Drama then asked in the caption: ”are these two different jackets? or the same jacket photographed in different lighting?”
Instagram users took it to comments to share their thoughts, where most believed the advert had been misleading.
One person wrote: ”Definitely the same jacket, but unless they actually listed it as Grey & Red then I feel like a partial refund is in play… because although it’s arguably grey in the photo, it does look more like a Blue… which looks way nicer than they mid grey they received.”
A second wrote: ”same jacket, false advertising. def looks blue in the pic.”
However, there were also those who were convinced it was not the same garment as the advertisement claimed.

”Different jacket for sure gotta be a knock off,” someone said.
Others were not so bothered about the jacket’s true colours and were more interested to find out who Kyle, whose name has been stitched on, was.
