WINGING IT

I’m fed up with my neighbour feeding the birds because one pooed on my baby but people say I’m in the wrong

A MUM was fuming with her neighbour for encouraging birds into his garden after one pooed on her baby.

The furious woman explained that her next door neighbour kept throwing food out into the backyard for the winged creatures to feast on.

But she didn't want the wildlife to invade her space after an unfortunate incident which left her child covered in faeces.

Taking to Mumsnet, she said: "[My] neighbour [is] constantly throwing food out to birds and now one s*** on my baby.

"A bird, not a neighbour for the last part.

"Am I being unreasonable here? My neighbour constantly throws food out to the birds, anything goes. I’m fed up with it."

Fellow Mumsnet users were quick to jump in with their opinions, but many weren't sympathetic to the woman's plight.

One person said: "Nothing wrong with feeding the birds. Birds also s*** at random, it could have happened anywhere.

"Cover your kid up if you're worried, or don't leave your baby outside."

Another said: "The bird could have shat on your baby irrespective of the neighbour feeding it. There is no causal link here."

And another said: "You can't exactly enforce a no fly zone over your baby, sorry.

"Is this in their garden, your garden or a communal space? Tbh as long as they aren't leaving a build up of food to encourage rats, I think you are being a bit unreasonable."
