I’m a cleaning pro – your bed is a breeding ground for dust mites, but my DIY spray will keep the whole room dust-free

IF you find yourself constantly sneezing when you go to bed at night or wake up in the morning - don't worry - it's not sleep you're allergic too.

Dust mites are the invisible pests that infiltrate your home and make everyday activities, such as breathing, all the more difficult.

Instagram user Chantel Mila shared her easy .

Chantel's DIY dusting spray consists of a cup of water, 1/4 cup of white vinegar, 2 teaspoons of fractionated coconut oil and 4 drops of lemon essential oil.

Spray the mixture on all the surfaces in your bedrooms and wipe with a damp cloth to collect the dust.

Chantel explained the secret behind her magic mixture: "The coconut oil coats your furniture with a thin layer which prevents dust settling longer."

The cleaning expert also recommended vacuuming your mattress and headboard regularly as these areas are breeding grounds for dust mites.

She also suggested using a lint roller to remove dust from hard to reach areas, such as the inside of a lampshade.

Chantel's followers were keen to try her latest hack, with one new fan commenting: "I'm so glad I came across you on Instagram. Your hacks are great. I'm going to try the dusting spray."

"Great tips for sufferers of asthma," wrote another user.

A third follower joked: "How do you know all of this? I barely make my bed in the mornings."

And if breathing clean air isn't enough incentive to try this tip, one of Chantel's followers pointed out an added bonus to the DIY spray: "Must be a nice fragrance too."
