For those who don’t wear a lot of colour, a bright lipstick is a great option to add that little something-something to their look

But as essential as they are, accessories can also be tricky to style, sometimes leaving you looking rather confused and with mismatched items that don’t compliment each other.

Luckily, offering a helping hand, one fashion lover has shared a few tips and tricks that will help you look your best for all ocassions.

In on YouTube, Erin Elizabeth, whose lifestyle videos have amassed her a notable fanbase of close to 250,000 subscribers, demonstrated how to easily up your outfit with accessories.

”When you’re getting ready in the morning, accessories should be the last thing that you pick up for your outfit.

NOT THE BREAST

From the padded bra to the G-string, these are the top tacky lingerie styles

”You should have the base of your outfit ready and good to go, and then the very last thing you’re gonna do is pull together all of your accessories.”

This, she explained, is because you want accessories to ”enhance your look rather than compete with” it.

Erin then went on to show how to make the most of your outfit of the day by wearing a pair of jeans and a basic white blouse, which she had tucked in.

To add a little something-something, the whizz opted for a brown belt, a watch, a delicate necklace in gold and a colourful scarf wrapped around her messy ponytail.

Another easy trick is rolling up your sleeves – this is something that will make the look more casual and laid back – and choosing a bright pair of shoes for a pop of colour.

The second outfit – a flowy white cami with a lovely print shorts – was more semi-casual.

Because the shorts with the bow detailing were a statement piece on their own, Erin decided to keep it simple and opt for a bigger necklace.

Here, you could also go for stud earrings – but not too crazy that would take away the attention from the necklace.

For shoes, Erin went for a pair of blue-grey heeled sandals, and completed the look with a round white straw bag.

Last but not least, the YouTube fashion guru demonstrated how to make your evening or night-out outfit look even better – and one option here, especially for dresses with a higher neckline, is choosing statement earrings.

For those who like Erin don’t have a lot of colour in their wardrobe, a bright lipstick is another way to add a pop of colour.

”Make it a little bit fancied, give it that boldness,” she said whilst showing of her red lips.
