Mrs Hinch fans share 55p hack to unblock stinky drains in just 10 minutes

But now her legions of fans have gathered together to exchange advice and hacks for blitzing your home.

People regularly bring their dilemmas to the where fellow clean fans share their wisdom.

Recently, one woman took to the group to ask others' opinions on the best product for unblocking the long hair from her sink and bath drain.

She said: “What is the best product to use for unblocking sinks?

“The drain in my bath and the sink in the same room are blocked. I have long blonde hair and we are renting and need to unblock it.

“The bath panel doesn’t look removable and there’s no screws to unscrew the plug either.”

A build up of soap, shampoo can hair can often cause a clog in your bathroom pipes but more than 50 Hinch fans had advice for the concerned home cleaner.

The most frequently suggested solution was mixing baking soda, white vinegar and boiling water.

One person said: “White vinegar and baking soda.”

Another said: “Pour boiling hot water down the drain, then pour baking soda and a cup of white vinegar down and leave for 10 minutes.

“Then pour another kettle of boiling water again to clear it.”

A third said: “Had the same problem and used the old fashioned method of baking soda and white vinegar down the sink and let it sit for about 10 minutes.

“I then poured boiling water down the drain. Since then, they have never blocked again. Hope that helps.”

While another said: “Baking soda, white vinegar and boiling water is the most natural method I’ve found and it works all the time.”

One person reassured those who are going to give it a go that all they would need to spend is around 55p on the baking soda in Asda.

While white vinegar can be bagged for as little as 29p in some supermarkets.
