I bought a sexy dress… I was in hysterics when I tried it on & realised I looked like the Fairy Godmother from Shrek
AHEAD of her husband’s birthday dinner, one woman decided to buy a sexy dress – but was left in hysterics after trying it on.
Shopping can be a bit of a gamble – unless you try it on, you can never really know what you’re buying, and there are countless of major fails to attest that.
And, unfortunately for Aubrey, from Florida, she was no exception, as the garment she had purchased made her look like the Fairy Godmother from Shrek.
Left in hysterics, the woman took it to both TikTok and Instagram to share the fail, where it’s taken social media by storm, racking up more than eight million views.
Posing in a sparkly red dress with a deep décolleté and a leggy display, Aubrey said she had wanted to find a nice dress for her hubby’s birthday dinner.
But upon trying it on and looking in the mirror, she quickly realised there was a striking resemblance between her and the iconic Fairy Godmother from the animated comedy movie Shrek.

Demonstrating just how similar the two were, Aubrey then grabbed a swiffer duster and pulled the same pose the evil antagonist had when she was singing towards the end of the film.
She continued in the caption: ”shouldve shown the dress to someone before I bought it [sic].”
And it wasn’t just the woman who thought she looked exactly like the Fairy Godmother – viewers, many of whom took it to comments, did too.
”I saw the dress and knew exactly where this was going,” wrote one person.
A second chuckled: ”all you have to do now is sing I need a hero.”
Someone else said: ”I was thinking Jessica rabbit but that’s awesome too [sic]!”

Others, on the other hand, seemed to love the sparkly number so much, they demanded Aubrey revealed where she had purchased the item.
Though she hasn’t yet disclosed this information, eagle-eyed viewers claimed they had seen a similar dress on Shein and Fashion Nova.
