I’m a money-saving mum – how to make £10k spotting empty houses in your area
IF you want to make thousands simply by walking around your neighbourhood, you may be in luck.
A money-saving mum has revealed how you could earn £10,000 by spotting empty houses.
Mum-of-four Holly Smith, who runs , told Fabulous: “If you are walking about and see an empty house that hasn’t been lived in for a while, did you know there is a website called YouSpotProperty?
“What you do is submit the address of the empty property, and they will give you a £20 M&S or Amazon voucher just for spotting that property.
“But then it gets even better.
“What they do is liaise with the owner of that property to try to buy and if they manage to buy it, you get one per cent of the property value.”

Holly explained how she had shared the tip on This Morning with hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary, and had told the story of a man called Paul Wood who got a cheque for £10,000 after spotting a house worth £1million.
After sharing her tip on TV, Holly said people got in touch and told her they’ve earnt money using the technique too.
She continued: “Someone watched me mentioning it on This Morning and was like ‘oo there’s a property at the end of the road, I’m going to go on YouSpotProperty to get my voucher.’
“YouSpotProperty went on to buy that property and they got a check for £5,000 just based on what I said on This Morning.”
Holly, 37, who is based in Great Yarmouth, has saved £20,000 with her saving hacks over the years, including couponing.
Holly dropped out of school at the age of 14 without any academic qualifications but is now mortgage-free thanks to her hacks.

The mum found herself entering hundreds of competitions everyday and the first prize she won was to have her own website designed – which gave her the idea to start her money-saving blog.
Holly has now turned her hobby into a full-time job, sharing money-saving tips with other bargain hunters on her website, .
She’s just authored a book, Holly Smith’s Money Saving Book, and has an impressive social media following of millions.
