Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Bower was asked if Harry and Meghan should keep their titles - replying: "He’ll [Harry] keep his princely title, it’s Meghan I’m after.

"His book is really Meghan’s. Meghan is the person who has dictated this agenda."

Presenter Ed Balls countered that the book is by Prince Harry and not his wife, to which Bower asked "Do you think he's read it?"

Spare was penned by ghost-writer JR Moehringer - with reports emerging over the weekend that Harry had begged his pals in the UK to speak with the author.

And royal expert Bower continued: "Meghan has actually read every word.

"Meghan is highly intelligent, very sophisticated."

He continued to slam the Duchess, claiming that , King Charles and Princess Diana's brother Charles Spencer "saw through" her.

He claimed the core of the Royal Family saw that "she was adventurous, [she] came here to make fame and fortune and go back to America, [she] is exploiting the royal title."

It comes as the title of the upcoming book was revealed last week.

Publishers confirmed that it will be released on 10 January 2023, the day after the 41st birthday of Catherine, Princess of Wales and just four months after the death of the Queen

Harry - who has already received half of a £35million payout for his book - will read the audiobook version himself.

Publisher Penguin Random House's description reads: "With its raw, unflinching honesty, Spare is a landmark publication full of insight, revelation, self-examination, and hard-won wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief.

Bower has previously hit out at the book, calling it "poisonous".

Meanwhile, Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, declared: “Being the ‘spare’ is still at the forefront of his mind all these years later and he clearly feels belittled by it.

"It is really a bit pathetic that he hasn’t managed to move on. Diana used to call him the spare. Harry would say ‘I’m the spare, I don’t have to behave, I can do what I like’."

TalkTV's Piers Morgan has also rubbished the memoir, saying: "Prince Privacy will hurl his latest torrent of malevolent money-making muck at the Royal Family just in time to ruin his father’s coronation as King.

"Charles should strip this petulant, selfish, greedy, hypocritical brat of all his remaining royal titles/status ASAP."

In the description of the book, the Duke describes himself as "a husband, father, humanitarian, military veteran, mental wellness advocate, and environmentalist".

The book will be released two days after the three-year anniversary of Harry and Meghan’s official exit from the Royal Family on January 8, 2020.
