A WOMAN who changed her name on her phone was left feeling very embarrassed when she realised other people could see it.
Emily Jade confessed that she set her own name as 'toenail clipping' as a joke, but didn't realise how bad the gaffe was until it was too late.
She explained on her TikTok account @emiiyjade that she originally set her name as 'toenail clipping' when she was 11-years-old.
"At the time for some reasons I thought it was hilarious," she said.
But Emily had no idea that all of her contacts could see what she'd set her name as too, and since she never changed it everyone she's ever emailed or text since has probably seen it.
"I've added people from uni, I've spoken to brands, I've done work experience and you're telling me that I could be 'toenail clipping' in the contacts," she laughed.

But her blunder doesn't end there, it turns out the name on Emily's email account was set to the same thing.
"All this time when I've been emailing people from my personal email it's been saying it's from toenail clipping," Emily fumed.
To make sure that she wasn't being paranoid, she sent an email from her personal email to another account.
Sure enough, the email came through from 'toenail clipping' leaving her completely mortified.

She joked that it had gone on for so long that she might have to actually change her name.
Viewers couldn't believe no one told her about the mistake, one commented: "The fact that no one brought it up, they just accepted it."
And someone else said: "I did this too and my name was 'Christmas leftovers' and I used it to apply for my last job."
