Sister Wives’ Kody was once the most ‘openly flirty’ with last wife Robyn but now feels ‘loss of power,’ expert reveals

KODY Brown is feeling a "loss of power" after his plural marriages have been whittled down to a single monogamous relationship, according to a body language expert.

And it seems to have put a strain on his union with his remaining wife, Robyn, though the expert tells The U.S. Sun the pair was once the most "openly flirty" on the show.

Sister Wives patriarch, Kody Brown, was already wed to MeriJanelle, and Christine when he was "spiritually married" to divorcée and then-mother-of-three Robyn in 2010.

Fast-forward to 2023, and Robyn is the last woman standing after Christine left Kody in 2021 and Meri and Janelle followed her out the door in 2022.

As tension bubbled on the reality show, Kody was accused of treating Robyn as his "favorite wife" — and the feelings between them were apparent back in season one.

In fact, after analyzing how Kody interacted with each of his wives in the show's early days, body language expert says Kody was the most "openly flirty" with Robyn.

Wood, author of , told The U.S. Sun that it was clear Kody wanted her in a clip from the premiere episode when the two were courting.

"See how the lower part of the torso is kind of bent back? He’s putting his pelvis out toward her, which is sexual attraction," she said.

"Then he has his elbows out and back. That shows his alpha status, but it’s relaxed alpha. And then it’s also just the fingertips in the pockets.

"He wants her sexually, he wants to be manly, but there’s a little bit of bashfulness with the fingers in the pockets and the fact that elbows aren’t way out to the sides, they’re down and back."

Wood said Robyn wanted him back, but she was "very shy" and "bashful" about showing it.

"They’re being very shy around each other. She’s being shy around him," she said.

"He has his body oriented toward her. But she is giving him just the side of her body, a shoulder. That’s bashfulness.

"Both of her arms are collapsed down to hold her hands, and that is protection and bashfulness as well.

"She’s looking at him and her head is tilted and she’s smiling.

"So, 'I’m interested in you, but I’m bashful and I’m not fully showing that.' Her hands are over her pelvis, so she’s shy about it.

"He’s openly flirting, and she’s saying, 'I’m interested but I want to go slow' or 'I’m interested but I’m bashful about it.'"

Wood said it seemed like things were going well for them then, but in a recent episode, none of that flirtiness could be seen.

In Wood analyzed, Christine cradled baby Avalon — the daughter of Kody and Christine's daughter Mykelti — in her lap during an emotional discussion.

Wood pointed out that Kody and Robyn sat side by side but were not tuned into one another.

"Her energy, her focus, is totally on the baby," she said. "Their chairs are about two feet apart, and he’s not oriented toward her or the child. His feet and knees, legs, and pelvis are toward another place."

But though he's still married to Robyn, he's clearly feeling the strain of relationships crumbling.

"His whole body language is collapsed in. It’s not relaxed. It’s more collapsed — which shows loss of power and/or defeat," said Wood.

"His legs are fairly close together and his hands are down and wrapped around his legs, which is a way of self-comfort and also restraining some of his true emotional state.

"He doesn’t show openness — which would be the leg further apart, the hands and arms showing. He doesn't show forward interest."

Wood also noted that it's "fascinating" how seldom Kody and Robyn are seen interacting with each other "in a way that shows intimacy and connection."

Robyn has admitted that Kody's troubles in his other marriages have impacted theirs.

"Right now, I am living right through that because Kody is having issues with some of his other relationships," Robyn said on the show.

"And it is making our relationship really, really hard."

Previously, Wood analyzed  Kody's body language with Christine, noting that he showed "possessiveness" and "ownership" of her back in season one.

She also said Janelle rebuffed Kody’s attempts at "alpha male" control for years, and he and Meri once had a healthy marriage but were "guarded" and on "different planes."
