Shoppers are racing to snap up Tesco, Asda and Aldi’s budget Valentine’s Day cards which cost only 25p

SHOPPERS are racing to supermarkets to pick up their hilarious Valentine's Day cards for as little as 25p.

One happy shopper shared some of the clever designs from Tesco and Aldi to the  Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK.

People were left in hysterics by the funny love-filled cards Stuart Bayford shared with the group.

We all know Valentine's Day is about making your beloved feel cherished - and what better way to do it than with an own-brand card?

Stuart wrote: "At least some supermarkets are helping to cut the cost of Valentine's day!"

Tesco designed a card with a blue and white striped background that read 'Tesco Value Happy Valentine's Day.'

The 50p card is sure to go down well with couples across the nation.

He also shared an Aldi Valentine's Day card with a clever pun people couldn't help but chuckle at.

It read: "Out of Aldi people in the world, I love you the most."

The post soon went viral with over 1,000 likes and hundreds of people commented on the post to share their thoughts.

One woman shared how she found an Asda Vanetine's card for 10p 15 years ago that read 'Be smart, be my valentine."

She wrote: "Bought this one in Asda about 15years ago (10p) take it in turns to send to each other."

Another woman revealed she had spotted a card for just 25p in her local Tesco store when replying to another user.

They wrote: "My husband still wouldn't spend 50p on a card, he doesn't believe in it. Who said romance is dead?"

"I saw one in Tescos for 25p," she wrote.

Plenty of people were big fans of the Aldi card.

One wrote: "The Aldi one is brilliant."

Another commented: "I'm going to be ashamed if this isn't what I'm getting for my card lol."

"Aldi's one wins hands down," joked a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth added: "That's hilarious."
