I gave my baby a unique name – then cruel trolls accused me of HATING him became it’s so unusual
A MUM who chose an extremely unique name for her son has been accused by trolls of hating him because it's so unusual.
The mother-of-two took to a baby group on Facebook to reveal the moniker she's opted to give her newborn, as she asked other parents for advice on "transitioning from one baby to two".
"Currently five days post partum and just obsessed with my little man, Bugzlen," she wrote in the post, which was later shared on Reddit.
"Feb 7 2023 weighing 7lbs 5oz 5.45pm.
"If anyone has some advice in transitioning from one baby to two - my babies are 15 and a half months apart - could use the help."
But instead of offering her advice, people were quick to reveal their opinions about the name - some of which were more than a little harsh.

"No. I'm sorry, Bugzlen?!? Why do you hate your child?" one wrote.
"When you think you've seen every stupid baby name, Bugzlen comes along," another added.
"I had to go back and read it like four times before my brain would process what it actually said," a third commented.
Others said the name seemed more suited to a Pokemon character than a newborn baby.

"That isn't a normal person name, that is the name of a bug-type Pokemon gym leader," one raged.
And some people said that using such a unique name for your baby makes them instantly more identifiable online than his peers.
"This is part of my problem with these 'unique' names," one person argued.
"Like, way to make your child just the most intensely Google-able person in the world.
"I mean, who do you think is more likely to have everything they've ever done be instantly connected to them, John Smith, or someone called some s*** like Bugzlen."
In another comment, someone revealed that Bugzlen isn't the only unique name in his household - his elder sibling is called Lyric.
