King Charles calls on Brits to mark his Coronation with special request
KING Charles is calling on Brits to mark his Coronation by signing up to help others.
The Big Help Out asks people to volunteer in their community on the Coronation Bank Holiday on May 8.
Organised by the Together Coalition, which includes the Scouts and the Royal Voluntary Service, the public can search an app listing volunteering opportunities from over 1,500 charities.
Launching the Big Help Out, Paralympian Ellie Simmonds, herself a volunteer and Scout ambassador, said: “Volunteering is central to our national story.
"So it’s brilliant to see The Big Help Out is an official part of the Coronation celebrations.”
Ellie called the Big Help Out app “a one stop shop for 100,000s of volunteering opportunities”.
