BRA-VO

I’ve got big boobs and tried loads of bras – my favourite wire-free one is a supermarket buy & even better than Skims

IT can often be hard to find the perfect wire-free bra, especially for the curvier among us who need that little bit of extra support.

But you don’t have to rely on under-wiring and padding, and there are some fabulous fashionable options out there for those with bigger busts.

Sophie Hughes is a curve model, and here she shares her top five non-wired bras she always wears

Here, size 14-16 32G bust curve model and content creator , 32, from Cheshire, shares her five top non-wired bra choices she swears by.

Sophie says: “The perfect bra for me is a combination of supportive, comfy and sexy.

“Lingerie is supposed to fit you, it’s not something you squeeze your body in to, and it gives you so much confidence when it fits you well.”

And, perhaps surprisingly, her favourite one is a supermarket purchase which she rates even better than Skims…

Skims

Sophie is a huge fan of this Skims bralette, but it is one of the pricier options

Sophie says: “Skims can do no wrong when it comes to the fit and quality of their lingerie.

“This red bralette is one I often wear around the house with matching joggers.

“It gives your boobs the perfect lift and the deep cut makes it super flattering.

“It’s sexy in an understated way whilst also being really fashionable – love, love, love!”

Marks and Spencer

Sophie Hughes
This Marks and Spencer bra is Sophie’s favourite

Sophie says: “This is my favourite non-wired bra EVER.

“This is my favourite because it gives you the full support and lift of a traditional wired bra, but it’s super comfy.

“You could wear this all day and night, fab for the gym, and fab under any outfit.

“I absolutely love this colour for spring/summer too and it’s true to size.”

Pour Moi

SOPHIE HUGHES
This bra has a clasp on the front, making it really easy to put on

Sophie says: “With a front fastening clasp this bra is the perfect mix of sexy and comfy.

“I absolutely love the colour of this as I think it’s really different.

“It’s supportive and I felt really beautiful in this, the clasp is also really different and much easier to put on than trying to squeeze a bralette overhead.”

To buy: Pour Moi , £36.

Boux Avenue

Sophie Hughes
Sophie found this bra to be great quality, and plans to buy again in every colour

Sophie says: “I absolutely lived in this loungewear sporty style set last summer because it was so comfy and perfect under a t-shirt.

“They don’t have it in orange this season but the bright pink is still gorgeous!

“Everything Boux Avenue do is always incredible in quality and I will be buying this in every colour this season.”

To buy: Boux Avenue , available in three colours, £18.

Finally, whatever bra you choose, Sophie believes the most important thing is to feel comfortable and have a few secret-weapon wardrobe items that you always feel fabulous in, as that will make you feel extra confident.

Sophie adds: “One of my top tips is if you’re having a bad day and feel horrible in everything you try on, go back to an outfit you felt beautiful and confident in before.

“It’s not the clothes – it’s your mindset so to go back to an old faithful.

“I think dressing for your size and shape is really important and you should wear things which make you feel confident versus just what’s in fashion this week.

“I love my curves, I love my lips, but honestly my body is just the vessel that allows me to live my best life so as long as I treat it with the love and respect it deserves I’m happy.”
